looks like it’s right up my alley! I’ve missed her voice in recent years. The loner cowboy looking for that special woman. Back blurb can be read at Kathleen Eagle website. Sounds good; I hope it’s good.
What are my favorite Eagle titles you ask? Soooo glad you asked!
I’ve enjoyed the following and have reread them all: What the Heart Knows, Reason to Believe, Fire and Rain, This Time Forever, Sunrise Song and The Last Good Man. When she’s good, she’s good and when she’s bad well, er you have The Wedding in White. All of her novels are contemporary reads with the exception of Sunrise Song which tells two stories set in the present and the past.

Ditto to what you said. I haven’t read her for a while but I too loved all the older ones you mentioned. I take it though her next one is a HC? Hmm more and more reason to rejoin the Doubleday book club.
Yep, it’s hardcover. Doesn’t it sound good?
It does sound good!! More like a return to her earlier good books and defintely worth rejoining Doubleday. I already have a few of her books in HC through them.
She writes so authentically doesn’t she?
Have you read A View of the River? I have that one in my TBR pile.
As you can see, I’m trying to use the strong for DOES - but it seems I’ve bolded the whole comment except for it.
Hey Kristie,
I fixed the bold - just needed a closing tag
No biggie.
I haven’t read A View From the River - yet. Heard it’s good but I am anxious to read this one - and it has such a nice cover, too.
Remember FIRE AND RAIN has the dual past/present storyline as well. I read A VIEW OF THE RIVER and while it was closer to her older and loved style, it still wasn’t quite there. I’m looking forward to this one in hopes that she finally gets her groove back.
Oh, now I remember. Hee. I skipped those parts, I guess
I’ll have to dig out A VIEW OF THE RIVER. I have high hopes for her new one.
