Just Musings

It’s the Labor weekend and I’m off.  Yeah. However, that’s short-lived. I have to work the day after the holiday. When all the crazy folk come back to town. Busy, busy, busy.

I have no books to discuss at the moment—working on that. However—

Most readers seem to be going rara over the new J.R. Ward book. I stand alone. I haven’t read this series and it seems right up my alley, too. Nope. I’m all excited over Diana Norman’s new book which comes out Tuesday (I’m looking for it now). And I have a couple of TV shows that première this week: Fox’s Nip/Tuck and HBO’s The Wire. It’s unfortunate news about Deadwood and most people seemed up in arms about it too.

Interesting as I would prefer Deadwood to be cancelled before The Wire. Neither show has the big ratings of The Sopranos (a show I have yet to watch but it’s on the que at Netflix) and I heard Rome is another expensive series and despite their poor ratings, they are going for a second season. You can count down the days to that show is off air too. Deadwood season three left me kind of baffled. Yep, I’m a fair weather viewer.

Also, I’m tweaking my blog–again (no comment Sybil). Yes, I did a hack job with most of my links but they are coming back. Adding more features to make it more reader friendly.

Have a good Labor Day weekend. I plan to polish off a YA novel I’m reading that’s very good and a couple of novellas. Be safe. Be good.

Nope. No “new” news. Only that they agreed to wrap it up nicely. A lot of fans have been unsubscribing to HBO because of the cancellation.

Deadwood is to be cancelled. I thought you knew that already? David Milch is working on another project for HBO. Deadwood, it is said, is too expensive to make and with the low ratings, off it went.

I’m still messing around with it but I like the background and I’m trying to come up with some ideas on how to utilize it. May have to tap you for that if I can’t :-)

Hmm. I like what you are doing. I particularly like the background of the bookshelf although the first book is hard to see. I also love the modal boxes. That’s one of my favorite things about this theme (as can be evidenced by the DA site use of them).
