News: Minneapolis Bridge Collapse

by Avid Reader on August 2, 2007

Just in case you haven’t heard, an Interstate bridge in Minneapolis collapsed yesterday during rush hour traffic killing 4 people and injuring 62 others. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this tragedy. What’s scary is that this could happen anywhere at anytime in the country.  I know of only one online pal that is from Minneapolis and I’ve already emailed her. I hope none of our bloggers/readers that are online were affected by this catastrophic event. I know I will be watching CNN (which actually shows footage of the bridge actually collapsing and has even more pics of the bridge) to find out like the rest of the world what caused this collapse. I mean how many bridges do we drive over everyday?

Hey Kailana, like you I was surprised at the death count. The stories are amazing. What have you been up to? Glad you left your link because I lost you there for awhile :-)

To me, I was actually surprised by the death count. Considering what happened, the time of day, and the amount of cars as a result, I expected a higher death count.
