Bye, Bye Analog TV

by Avid Reader on January 8, 2008

Better get your converter boxes well ahead of time. Unless you have cable or satellite TV that is digital ready, you have to get a converter box.  As of Feb 2009, analog signal to your TV antenna will no longer be available - it will be digital only. You must buy a converter box at a cost of $40 to $70 at your favorite electronics store. I can’t even begin to comprehend what kind of problem this will cause and how overwhelmed store employees will be educating people with this transition. Good thing I already have satellite TV.

I see this affecting the old folks in this country more than anybody else.
