Writers of the Wire Wax Poetic On Show’s Five Year Run
The season finale of The Wire is March 9. Where has the season gone? Anyway, I ran across this article that is written by Dennis Lehane, George Pelacanos, David Simon, Ed Burns on what it is they were trying to convey with their five year run of The Wire. All I have to say is that it’s been a great ride, guys. I own all four seasons and can’t wait till season five is available. You can read the entire article here. Enjoy.

I recently read on Twitter that Dennis Lehane will be writing another Patrick & Angie book. It will be the sequel to Gone Baby Gone, set some 11 years later. That’s awesome news for Dennis Lehane fans considering that the last book in that series was written in 1999.

Shutter Island is the latest Dennis Lehane book to go to film. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio and it is directed by Martin Scorsese. Will I go see it? Mystic River (2003) by Dennis Lehane is set in the author’s hometown of Boston. It is a poignant and emotionally moving story that cleverly disguises itself as a police procedural.
In fact, the story is told in third person and seems to be more of a character driven crime novel. One of the best I’ve read.
