First, I want to thank you guys for participating in this endeavor! We had a pretty good turn out despite the fact that we had a few people missing in action. Hopefully, they will be joining us next month. Contest for the gift card is now closed but if readers who are interested in joining us, it’s not too late and it will always be open, just contact me using the contact form and I’ll add you to the list.
The tentative dates for TBR Day are below. I know many readers want to do more than one Wed and I say go for it. I only ask that you spotlight [a] book from your TBR pile every third Wed. I plan to read more books from my pile and reserve the older books on TBR Day. I am excited to say the least. I plan to tackle a few authors that I’ve not read but whose books are languishing in my TBR pile for a long time. Here are my author highlights: Sharon Shinn, Eva Ibbotson, Lisa Kleypas (Sugar Daddy), Catherine Asaro (The Veiled Web) and a few others. Any authors you are targeting out of your pile? Books in particular you’ve always wanted to read but never had the time? Well, now is the time.

SL Viehl is on my list. I actually have Catherine Asaro — I won a gift basket of her entire backlist (signed, I think) 2 years ago and I haven’t read one book. Yikes! I have two 5 foot bookcases of books stacked 2 deep x2 wide that are TBR. I need to be reading more than one a month (though I think getting one done is good!)

I know I plan to read more than one a month and reserve certain titles to spotlight for TBR Day (as I’ve limited myself to copyright dates 2000 and back). I have every intention of reading all of my Charlaine Harris books (or as much as I can read before I burn out and plenty of others). For once in my life, I am actually digging through my stockpile and have come away with a surprise or two, like: I didn’t know I had this in there! [g]

Meant to add - please read the Asaro! I would love to know what you think. I loved Primary Inversion and it has a really nice romantic subplot in it.

Just wanted to say thanks for organising this, Keishon - it was fun and I discovered quite a new few blogs :-)

SL Viehl and JD Robb are on the list I want to finish Charlanie Harris and I would like to read the Armstrong books (Women of the Otherworld. ) I am going to attempt to do this weekly but we’ll see I will for sure spotlight on these days though! Great Idea!

I am still going to do the first nightside book for the next TBR day. After that, I am not sure. Have to agree with the others - read Asaro, she is great. I am going to get Ruby Dice by her. Sharon Shinn is another author whose books I’ve not been keeping up with and should. In between some of that I will probably read Dust by Elizabeth Bear.

Yeah, I was one of those missing in action people. Big surprise, there! I really don’t know what is wrong with me and reading this year, but it is just not happening!

Ack - I didn’t realize there was a ballot we were supposed to fill out. Is it too late? I did to a book though so I got things half right.
Avid Reader 03.21.08 at 10:54 pm
Hi KristieJ - are your referring to the Amazon gift card? No ballot to fill out. Just posting reviews on TBR Day continuously until Dec 2008, so if you didn’t post your review for March, you are out of the running for the incentive that I am giving away. So, you’re fine.

I haven’t picked out any books for the rest of the months yet, but I certainly have plenty to choose from. It was fun to read what other people chose. Thanks for hosting this, Keishon.
