I am late to the party but Ms. Valdez website had been down and now I see it is back up and she has updated it with a bit of news. She promises to give readers an update about her second book, Patience, on April 30th so mark your calenders. Ok readers, what do you think? Will she say the book will be released this year? Next year? Or have you moved on? Just to save you the time and effort, I already searched Amazon and there isn’t a listing for Patience yet.

Oh well. Your loss.
That’s great that she’s almost done. Unfortunately, I could care less at this point in time. I’m not saying that to be mean. It’s the truth. I’ll probably buy her second book like everybody else when it shows up at the bookstore.
She’s almost done.
Still going… and still NOT turned in… just saying…
Hey! She’s trying her best to get it done, so just chill!
You try writing a book with hundreds of expectant readers waiting. It’s hard, plus, she’s got a family who she cares for every day!
If a book isn’t completed (physically on the publisher’s desk) how can a release date be given? This has been going on for about two years with PATIENCE. How is this possible? Either the book is finished or it’s not-does anyone have a clue what might have went wrong????

oh oh oh oh
I know I know.…
Ditto.
I’m sorry that a writer who produced such an interesting debut novel was constrained by writers block. But beyond that? Her personal drama doesn’t interest me, nor does the whatever big announcement may be coming. In fact, I don’t get the point — why update your defunct website to say come back later? Either post your news or leave it alone.
I’ve already moved on. I’ve come to the mindset that I’ll believe it when I see it… meaning on the shelf.
Writer’s block is a total bummer and she shouldn’t make false promises. It only ticks off the readers. She should do what she can do and make no qualms about it. There’s no need for her to explain that she’s got writer’s block. None. Why she feels compelled to do so is beyond me. It is what it is. False promises are BAD.
