Excerpt of Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

broadcast newsThis news piece showed up in my inbox today, inform­ing me that there’s a very brief excerpt of the first chap­ter of Break­ing Dawn avail­able online at EW. There are spe­cial edi­tions of Eclipse that will have the full first chap­ter on sale May 31. Break­ing Dawn pub date is Aug 2 which is on a Sat­ur­day. Some book­stores are heav­ily pro­mot­ing her books with mid­night release par­ties ala JK Rowl­ing style. Still no cover shot avail­able but I did read some­where that there’s a release day for that, too.

Edited to add that Eclipse: Spe­cial Edi­tion is avail­able in hard­cover only thereby push­ing back the paper release. I would have thought the excerpt would have been avail­able in the paper­back copy but I see that it is not.

hey thats not fair about Jacob i’m sure he cant help his feel­ings and who wouln’t look at Bella with that type of car, i still think she might be a bit mad about not jump­ing at the chance to marry Edward why is she so wor­ried xxxx i would love to marry a really hot vam­pire who is deeply in love with me :) who wouldn’t :) come on girls don’t lie to your­self we love Edward xxxxxxx

although this was a while back, her “before” car was a Mer­cedes Guardian, fully pro­tected for any kind of evil ready to hurt Bella. And it was not Carlisles car.

AND I would let Edward Cullen bite me anyday.

I would GLADLY walk into a freezer for Edward Cullen. There is a cer­tain ele­ment that Meyer uti­lizes to make him come to life! When he says the things he does to Bella, its as if he’s talk­ing to the mil­lions of teenage girls dying to find their Edward. Spread the word to the guy dome, read this book and pick up a cou­ple of things. Chivalry is not yet dead!

well in my per­spec­tive Edward is every­thing Bella needs. He is sta­ble, in con­trol, and knows what he wants. Jacob on the other hand is a WEREWOLF! he could snap any minute… HELLO PEOPLE do you not remem­ber what hap­pened to Emily. Jacobs friend that was imprinted by one of his fel­low “broth­ers”. That could very eas­ily hap­pen to Bella. Edward is so per­fect for Bella and Bella is per­fect for Edward… it’s like they bal­ance eachother out.(ITS LOVE!) i know jacob loves Bella and its wrong of her to lead him on but Jacob will find some­one. Just Read :]

You Jacob fans are crazy — he’s so arro­gant, pushy, rude, dis­re­spect­ful, self­ish — shall I go on? Bella was annoy­ing to lead him on — not nice when she know he was in love with her…
Edward is too good for her, but I’m still glad they end up together

I’m def­i­nitely a Jacob fan… all other con­sid­er­a­tions aside, Edward is 109! What is he doing with a 17-year old girl? At least she’s 18 now, so that’s slightly bet­ter… I guess. And Edward is way more con­trol­ling. I’m reeeeeally excited about Break­ing Dawn. Book­sOn­Board is giv­ing away the Break­ing Dawn eBook for free if you pre-order, which is pretty nice.

well sorry to dis­a­point Jacob lovers out there but it is only a 5% major­ity who are on his side and I really don’t think Stephanie Meyer would want to dis­a­point 95% of her fans by mak­ing Bella sud­denly change her mind in choice or kill off Edward in some fight. Also in a *spoiler alert* it states that the wed­ding is defitly tak­ing place and it will be tra­di­tional and ‘girly girl’ –this is at a VERY early stage in the book so I haven’t ruined much besides we all knew that was going to hap­pen any­way:)
I am personally(and obvi­ously by my name) on Edwards side 100% –I would definitly pre­fer a cold cop­per haired vam­pire than a hot(temperature terms) dark were­wolf. Though i do feel kind of sorry for Jacob because Bella was his first love so he was bound to try every way in try­ing to win her back so you can’t blame him for force­fully kiss­ing her-I hope he will imprint on some­one soon but I know not every­one can have a happy ending.

wow some peo­ple cant spell car names. i believe its mer­cedes and lam­borgini but what­ever. and jacob and bella have to be together. jacob is clearly the more attrac­tive one than edward… in my opin­ion i’d rather be with some­one who’s all hot and dark than some­one who is cold as ice and pale… no offense to edward of course

I was look­ing for more infor­ma­tion about Stephe­nie Meyer and Break­ing Dawn (SO excited about the release of Break­ing Dawn! even though Mid­night Sun will prob­a­bly be more inter­est­ing) and I stum­bled across this. I loved read­ing Eclipse, even though I feel that Bella could def­i­nitely be stronger. But I still love the series, and want her to end up with Jacob. What??? — does that mean Bella and Edward DO end up together? and get mar­ried? because i’d feel kind of bad on Jacob, i mean he rocks but any­one with any sence knows that Edward and Bella belong together :) ????????

I think its kind of funny how edward bought bella a before and after car ( in the first chap­ter it talks about how edward bought bella a before car , the guard, and a mys­tery after car for when she’s not so “break­able” and won’t need mis­sile proof win­dows hahaha!

Actu­ally in the first chap­ter of Break­ing Dawn, Edward did buy Bella a new car. It is a very rare care that isn’t really even avail­able to us yet. This car is built buy Mer­cedes, is it a car that will allow no harm to come to Bella. It is called “The Guard” or “The Guardian”. Edward bought it for Bella after her, “truck mys­te­ri­ously stopped work­ing”. Of course peo­ple were star­ing, this car bar­ley exists, it is meant to be pri­vate cars for very impor­tant peo­ple as it is Some of the attacks the vehi­cle is capa­ble of with­stand­ing include armour resist­ing military-standard small-arms pro­jec­tiles, hand grenade frag­ments other explo­sive charges. Addi­tional safety fea­tures include run-flat tyres, a self-sealing fuel tank and a fire-extinguishing sys­tem. Ha a typ­i­cal self con­sious Belle, of course peo­ple were lok­ing at the car, one of the few exotic cars in forks (prob a lam­berginni) given to her by the cullens…wow she doesnt have it so bad, i wouldnt mind any­way, a vam­pire? Yes please!
