Business: Ama​zon​.com See Increase In Quarterly Sales

Ama​zon​.com prof­its for this past quar­ter dou­bled. Not sur­pris­ing to me con­sid­er­ing that most peo­ple are sav­ing where they can and are just order­ing stuff online and hav­ing it shipped to them and Ama­zon offers free stan­dard ship­ping on items that cost over $25. This clearly gives online busi­nesses an advan­tage here in light of sky­rock­et­ing fuel prices. I espe­cially enjoy their Ama­zon Prime mem­ber­ship where any­thing and every­thing is shipped to you in two days. Ahhh, sweeettt. To note the biggest sales increases for Ama­zon were elec­tron­ics and gen­eral mer­chan­dise fol­lowed by books, CD and DVD’s.
