Business: Amazon.com See Increase In Quarterly Sales

Amazon.com profits for this past quarter doubled. Not surprising to me considering that most people are saving where they can and are just ordering stuff online and having it shipped to them and Amazon offers free standard shipping on items that cost over $25. This clearly gives online businesses an advantage here in light of skyrocketing fuel prices. I especially enjoy their Amazon Prime membership where anything and everything is shipped to you in two days. Ahhh, sweeettt. To note the biggest sales increases for Amazon were electronics and general merchandise followed by books, CD and DVD’s.
