I just finished Cry Wolf and loved it. Thanks for this interview. I’ve liked all of Patricia Briggs’ books, but especially the Mercy Thompson series and now this new series.

Just wanted to say that I love Alpha and Omega and Cry Wolf. Janine’s review at Dear Author was just too intriguing to pass up. I’ve read Alpha and Omega at least five times and am sure I’ll do the same with Cry Wolf. They’re just fabulous. I don’t normally read shifter stories or urban fantasy, but these stories are too good to pass up.

I will be hitting my bookstore tomorrow on my lunch in hopes of getting a copy of Cry Wolf. I am a huge fan of Patricia Briggs and love her Mercy Thompson series…she is one of the first books that I actually picked up in the sci-fi/fantasy section and I have to say thanks because she has opened up a whole new world that I would not have ventured into.

I enjoy the Mercy Thompson series and am looking forward to Alpha and Omega (I’ll pick it up tomorrow), but I think that I may like her Hurog books slightly more. I do hope/wish that the possible third Hurog book percolates to the top of her to do list someday.

Arrghh… comment disappeared!

Trying to remember what I said — I’m surprised that “Cry Wolf” is third-person POV, which is unusual for UF. I’m currently reading an UF anthology (okay, vampire romance) and practically all the stories have first-person POV.

And I’m still trying to track down “Cry Wolf” — it will be my mission this weekend!

I just tried to post a response to Janice and for some reason it didn’t post. Anyway, the long and short of it is, “Alpha and Omega” (the novella in the anthology On the Prowl) is fabulous and definitely the best place to start reading this series.

Thanks for the interview, makes me want to read Alpha and Omega and learn more about the abilities of the omega wolves. I also like that now I know not to go into reading the book with the same expectations of first person/urban fantasy like the Mercy novels.
