Thank you for sharing this interview! I held off reading it until I finished reading Heart Sick...and now I must go get a copy of Sweetheart. Archie and Gretchen are fascinating characters, horrifying and sad and amazing, all at once.

I had a good chuckle over her answers, too. I hope no one found the profanity offensive as I found it appropriate in the context of this series as there is no other way to describe Archie as nothing but f- up. I had sent her the questions before I read Sweetheart and see that she had already answered one of my questions. Anyway, I'm learning as I go but I am really glad she let me interview her. Thanks for the feedback guys. I really appreciate it.

Fantastic interview, fantastic author. She has a humorous streak and now I know where Archie gets his occasional subtle dark humor from. Thanks for taking the time to interview Chelsea Cain. I’m next up for “Sweetheart” from the library and I can’t wait. As you know, I absolutely loved “HeartSick” and felt she drew her characters well. I liked how she said Archie is f-cked up and that he knows it and the reader can then basically go on with the story because of that. Those were my feelings too.

“I find Gretchen Lowell so inspiring.” Dude, that's not strange, that's scary! Seriously, though, great interview. I really liked the questions, and responses, about whether or not there's a double standard and Archie's appeal. Now I just need to get my hands on Sweetheart...

This is a good review. Even though I have not read the books just reading the author’s answeres to the questions makes me want to read the books. Her answers to the questions are down to earth an “ordinary”. Love it! Very insightful into a smidgen of this author’s personality!
