The Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, volume#1 contains issue 1 to 6. The series started in 2006 and is ongoing. The publisher that released The Boys, Wildstorm an imprint of DC Comics, dropped the series after six issues due in part to the anti-hero bashing. The series was later picked up by Dynamite Entertainment
