I’m the kind of reader who looks for a romance in most books, and I especially would have liked to see a romantic story with a porn star at its center (because that would have been so different). So I am sorry that this isn’t one.

Yes, I was disappointed too and as a romance reader reading mostly mysteries these days, I am always looking for a bit of romance in everything I read as well. I was really disappointed that this one didn’t have it either. The story was well written though and a darn good read.

This is not a book for romance fans (of which I am one but still).

That’s the thing. I don’t mind knowing about this spoiler, it is just that I’m the kind of reader who looks for a romance in most books, and I especially would have liked to see a romantic story with a porn star at its center (because that would have been so different). Well, imagine how bummed out I was but it didn’t happen until the last quarter of the book, too. But then that’s not even the half of it and I didn’t mention that part of it at all. But I still enjoyed the story, FWIW. Maybe I should remove it. I think I will. This is not a book for romance fans (of which I am one but still).

I’m intrigued by the idea of a former porn star as a heroine. But the spoiler-fonted part of the story really bums me out, and I haven’t even read the book!
