Continue ReadingMystic River (2003) by Dennis Lehane is set in the author’s hometown of Boston. It is a poignant and emotionally moving story that cleverly disguises itself as a police procedural.
In fact, the story is told in third person and seems to be more of a character driven crime novel. One of the best I’ve read.
